So this week I have been commissioned to create with the ColorArtz Fabric Airbrush Starter Kit. The kit runs just under $30.00 at your local big box craft store and contains a "ColorArtz airbrush, airbrush propellant and three paints pouches. Colors included are Mango Tango (orange), Gremlin (apple green) and Purple People Eater
(dark purple)."
Below are the testimonials (as stated in the product description) vs. my opinion based on my experience level with the product.
Personalize home décor items and apparel/fun
More control and less overspray than aerosol cans/The spray control was inconsistent, yet somewhat manageable with varying levels of splatter. I found the directions easy to follow and the helpful hints essential.
Layer multiple colors or spray stencils in seconds/This starter kit came with 3 paint colors and two stencil designs. I didn't care for stencil designs in the starter kit, however there are several cute stencils produced by ColorArtz that you can buy individually to use with this airbrush system. The removable adhesive on the back of the stencil is pretty good. I'd say you could re-use each stencil several times before needing to re-apply adhesive (I like to use Zig Two-Way with the Jumbo Tip).
Spray a smooth solid coat or light mist of color/When the planets are all aligning and each piece works together....while holding your breath...you can actually create spray that is fairly smooth and solid. Easy positioning of the paint valve allows for various levels of spray.
Create narrow or broad lines/Narrow lines are not an option according to my trials. You may create broad or narrow-ish strokes of color, however the broad strokes are very light in color and the narrower strokes darker depending on range.
Overall I enjoyed the product....it even peeked my interest in learning to airbrush with a higher grade system. I've got a 6 year old that can't wait to come home tonight and try it out.....I think she'll have a blast creating and showing off her very own designs!
A great how-to video to watch before using the product:

To create a more commercial design for my airbrush masterpieces I created freezer paper stencils using my Cricut Expression.
