This month I'm taking a bit of time away from creating fun crafty pieces to do a little home re-design.  Our kids have been enjoying sharing a room for the last 2 years, but Emma {being 7 yrs old} is beginning to desire some privacy and space from her cute-but-pesky little brother.  So we have disassembled the craft/office space, splashed the walls with a couple coats of Flowering Raspberry, and are in the process of moving all things girly into the room.
I'm on a mission to color our world, and this weekend paint is going up on the walls in the living/dining room combo, bathroom, and I've drawn plans for upgrading the kitchen colors as well.  These beige walls have kept us warm and safe.....however, I think we'll all benefit from a little color in our lives.  Keep posted for upcycled furniture projects as well.

.the space was a little too utilitarian anyway....

.reading spot.

.Emma's a crafty girl herself, so she doesn't mind the leftovers.

.the wall color turned out great.  we've got frames and shelves to upcycle with some rattle cans as soon as the weather permits.
